Sean O'Driscoll: 'We could've taken a point'

Bristol City boss Sean O'Driscoll insists that his side could have taken a point in the 2-0 defeat to Cardiff City.

Bristol City manager Sean O'Driscoll believes that his side could have taken a point away from the defeat to Cardiff City.

The Bluebirds beat O'Driscoll's side 2-0 in Saturday's early kickoff, thanks to two goals from Fraizer Campbell.

However, despite the defeat, O'Driscoll remained positive about the game, insisting that his side applied themselves well.

"They're a good team. Their front two, the firepower, is one to envy. If they score good goals, credit to them," O'Driscoll said after the game.

"The application from the team was first-class. That's pleasing and we could've walked away with a point.

"We'd led a charmed life up until the first goal. At the same time we were resilient; that's an asset. With limited possession you have to be effective when you have it. We did that better in the second half."

The Robins are currently second-bottom in the Championship table.
