New Watford manager Sean Dyche has been denied an away victory at Burnley by Keith Treacy's late strike.
Treacy headed in a debut goal on 84 minutes to complete a two-goal comeback for the home side.
Watford took the lead through Craig Forsyth on the stroke of half time, a lead which Mark Yeates doubled after 70 minutes with a low strike.
Seven minutes later Charlie Austin pulled a goal back for the hosts before Irishman Treacy's header completed the late Clarets comeback.
Watford travel to Bristol Rovers for a first round League Cup game on Tuesday, while Burnley host Burton Albion.
