Burnley boss Sean Dyche hints at Danny Ings exit

Burnley boss Sean Dyche says that he expects Danny Ings to leave Turf Moor this summer.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has conceded that Danny Ings is likely to leave the club this summer.

The striker is out of contract at the end of the season and has not agreed fresh terms at Turf Moor, with Liverpool said to be leading the race for the 22-year-old's signature.

Ings has been Burnley's top scorer in the past two seasons and Dyche has paid tribute to the role that the former Bournemouth man has played in their rise from the Championship.

"It's been good to see his development," Dyche told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"It looks like that's not going to continue with us but I think we've played a big part in how he's moved forward.

"He's played a big part equally, he's helped with his contribution to the side and this football club. He's been a big part of the last two seasons."

England Under-21 international Ings has scored 10 goals in 35 appearances for Burnley this term.
