Burnley boss Sean Dyche wants sensible transfer deals

Burnley manager Sean Dyche insists that he will not break the club's financial structure to bring new players to Turf Moor.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche has insisted that he is happy to work within the club's financial constraints as he aims to add to his squad before the end of the transfer window.

The Clarets, who have signed seven players since winning promotion to the Premier League, have seen bids for Henri Lansbury, Craig Dawson and James McArthur fail this summer.

Dyche has warned supporters that he has no wish to unsettle the club's financial structure.

"It's a tough challenge still. The club have made it clear there are certain guidelines I have to work within, and that's part of my role," he told the Lancashire Telegraph.

"We are aligned though, there's no point me saying 'why haven't I got £25m to spend?' because that would be counter-productive. I have to believe in the club, what we're about. There's a group and there's a collective one-club mentality.

"We have to flex our improved financial muscle accordingly but, of course, in the Premier League there is a reality to things."

Burnley were beaten 1-0 by Swansea City on Saturday.
