The owner of championship side Leeds United Massimo Cellino has agreed the sale of his Serie A outfit Cagliari Calcio to Italian company Fluorsid, it was revealed on Friday.
Earlier in the week the sale of Cagliari to an American investment group fell through, but Cellino moved quickly to discuss terms with Fluorsid in order to announce the agreement.
"The Americans were trying to lengthen the negotiations and needed another 90 days," Cellino told Sky Sport Italia. "I have accepted to sell the club to Tommaso Giulini, who was up to last year a member of Inter Milan's administration council.
"It should all be completed very soon. I wish him all the best. Now my heart is with Leeds and all my work and energy is for Leeds."
Cellino took over Cagliari in 1992.
