Cardiff City appoint Paul Trollope as "head coach"

Paul Trollope will work under manager Russell Slade as Cardiff City's new "head coach".

Cardiff City have named former Norwich City and Birmingham City coach Paul Trollope as their new "head coach".

The 42-year-old will work under manager Russell Slade as his lead coach as part of a new hierarchy at the Welsh capital club.

Trollope enjoyed an 18-year playing career and also managed Bristol Rovers between 2005 and 2010.

Cardiff are 16th in the Championship, six points clear of the bottom three.
