Report: Cardiff City keen on Bruno Ribeiro to replace Russell Slade

Championship side Cardiff City reportedly express an interest in making former Leeds United midfielder Bruno Ribeiro their manager for next season.

Cardiff City have reportedly contacted former Leeds United player Bruno Ribeiro over becoming their new head coach next season.

The 39-year-old is currently manager of Portuguese top flight side Vitoria Setubal, a team he represented for 10 years in two separate spells as a player.

According to MaisFutebol.iol.pt, Cardiff have contacted the former midfielder, who is out of contract at the end of the season.

Russell Slade is the current Cardiff boss, but hasn't been able to lead the Bluebirds towards the Championship playoffs since replacing Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in October.

The Welsh side are 13th in the table and on course for a mediocre season with just six games remaining.
