Victor Wanyama wins red card appeal

Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama wins his appeal against the red card that he received against St Mirren last month.

Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has won an appeal against the red card that he received against St Mirren last month.

Wanyama was dismissed for serious foul play during the 1-1 draw at St Mirren Park on March 31.

"An appeal was lodged against the decision, and the SFA Fast Track Tribunal reduced the offence to a caution for unsporting behaviour," read a statement on the club's official website.

Wanyama is now available for Sunday's Scottish Cup semi-final against Dundee United at Hampden Park.
