Celtic assistant manager John Collins has confirmed that the Scottish champions do want to sign Nadir Ciftci from Dundee United.
Recent reports suggested that Celtic had made a £900,000 approach for the Turkish forward, and Collins admitted their interest today on Sky Sports News.
"He has obviously played against us many times last year," Collins said. "He's a big striker, he's strong, he's powerful and he's got technique as well. We like him."
Ciftci, who earlier this month revealed that he had turned down a new Arabs contract, has scored 33 goals in two seasons for United.
