Roberto Di Matteo believes that Chelsea can progress to the last 16 of the Champions League despite slipping to third in Group E on Tuesday.

Chelsea manager Roberto Di Matteo has insisted that his side can still qualify for the Champions League last 16 despite their 3-0 defeat to Juventus on Tuesday.

The reigning European champions are now third in Group E with seven points from five matches, two points behind second-place Juventus.

"We have hope because mathematically it's still possible for us," said the Italian. "At a big club like this, if you have a few bad results you're going to be under pressure.

"It's been the same from day one. We have to live with the pressure and try to pick the players up.

"We're in it together; we've had a long journey together."

Chelsea's final game in the group is against Nordsjaelland at Stamford Bridge in December.
