Chelsea have been dealt a blow after Mason Mount suffered an ankle injury against Valencia on Tuesday night.
Having contributed three goals from five outings in the Premier League, Mount was handed his first-ever start in the Champions League for the game at Stamford Bridge.
However, the playmaker's evening was cut short by an ankle injury sustained after a challenge from Valencia's Francois Coquelin.
After lengthy treatment, the 20-year-old attempted to play on, but the England international winced in pain when receiving the ball shortly afterwards.
While Mount was able to hobble off the pitch without the need of a stretcher, he is now a serious doubt for the Blues' Premier League showdown with Liverpool on Sunday afternoon.
