Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Juventus could line up for Wednesday night's Champions League clash against holders Chelsea.

Juventus head coach Massimiliano Allegri will have to cope without forwards Paulo Dybala and Alvaro Morata when they face Champions League holders Chelsea on Wednesday night.

Dybala was brought to tears after he was forced off with a thigh injury in the 22nd minute against Sampdoria and the Argentine has since confirmed on social media that he will undergo medical examinations.

As for Morata, he also limped off in the last few minutes of the same match with a hamstring problem, and the attacking pair are now set to miss Juve's next two games.

Brazilians Arthur and Kaio Jorge, who have yet to feature for the Italian giants this campaign, remain on the treatment table with muscle injuries.

Summer signing Moise Kean is expected to start as the central striker and he could be joined in attack by wingers Federico Chiesa and Dejan Kulusevski.

Central midfield duo Manuel Locatelli and Rodrigo Bentancur should retain their places in the first XI, with either Weston McKennie or former Arsenal man Aaron Ramsey expected to join them in the middle of the pitch.

In defence, Danilo and Juan Cuadrado have been rotated at right-back so far this season and either could be handed a start on Tuesday, while Alex Sandro is expected to play at left-back.

Veteran defender Giorgio Chiellini was brought on for the final 20 minutes against Sampdoria, and the 37-year-old could be recalled by Allegri for the game against Chelsea, which may see Matthijs de Ligt – a rumoured transfer target for the Blues – begin on the substitutes' bench.

After a string of poor performances between the sticks, Wojciech Szczesny was dropped last weekend, with Mattia Perin handed his first start of the campaign. Although Perin conceded twice against Sampdoria, it remains to be seen whether the Poland stopper will be recalled at his expense.

Juventus possible starting lineup: Perin; Danilo, Chiellini, Bonucci, Sandro; Bentancur, Locatelli, Ramsey; Chiesa, Kean, Kulusevski
