The summer transfer window has now begun, with rumours and speculation continuing to swirl as Chelsea eye possible reinforcements.
The Blues failed to bring in a single player during the January window, despite seeing their transfer ban cut short by FIFA, but have already been busy this summer.
Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings from Stamford Bridge.
Tuesday morning's Chelsea transfer talk news roundup:
Report: Chelsea's Kai Havertz talks with Bayer Leverkusen grind to a halt
Chelsea and Bayer Leverkusen remain far apart on their valuation of Kai Havertz, according to a report.
The Blues are looking to bring in the Germany international as their third addition ahead of next season, having already signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.
However, the clubs have been unable to reach an agreement over a fee for Havertz, who has scored and assisted a combined 38 goals in the last two Bundesliga seasons.
Sky Sports News reports that Leverkusen rate the 21-year-old at €100m (£90m) and will not budge on that valuation, regardless of the financial impact caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The Bundesliga side are also said to be confident that they can ask for even more for their prized asset in 12 months' time given his current trajectory.
Ethan Ampadu pushing to remain at Chelsea?
Ethan Ampadu has reportedly told Chelsea boss Frank Lampard that he wishes to remain at Stamford Bridge next season.
The 19-year-old was provided with just two starts and five substitute appearances in all competitions on loan at RB Leipzig last campaign.
Given his lack of game time, Chelsea are open to allowing the Wales international to go elsewhere again, potentially to West London neighbours Fulham.
However, according to Goal, Ampadu has informed Lampard that he wants to fight for his place in the Blues first-team squad.
Although the youngster would only likely remain as a fringe member, he would provide valuable backup in defence and midfield.
Lampard is keen for different options in the centre of his backline, while academy graduate Billy Gilmour will be sidelined until at least October with a knee injury.
