Half-Time Report: Chelsea lead Crystal Palace at the break

Chelsea lead Crystal Palace 2-1 at half time in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea are leading Crystal Palace 2-1 at half time in the Premier League.

Fernando Torres's 15th-minute strike gave the Blues the lead, but Marouane Chamakh struck his third goal in as many games to level things up.

The Spaniard scored just his third goal in 31 Premier League games when he reacted quickest after Willian's shot was saved onto the post by Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni.

However, Palace had their equaliser when Chamakh scored just after the half-hour mark when he escaped the attention of John Terry to flick home a cutback from Joel Ward.

Chelsea regained the lead minutes later when Ramires shot through a crowded penalty area to leave Speroni rooted to the spot.
