Chelsea midfielder Ramires and assistant first-team coach Rui Faria are expected to receive bans from the Football Association following their actions against Sunderland on Sunday.
The Brazilian appeared to elbow Sebastian Larsson during Chelsea's 2-1 defeat at Stamford Bridge.
As the incident was not spotted by referee Mike Dean, retrospective action by the FA is likely to be taken, while Faria could also be punished for his angry rant at the match official on the touchline.
Manager Jose Mourinho was forced to restrain Faria, who was sent to the stands after he reacted furiously to a late penalty awarded to Sunderland, which Fabio Borini converted to clinch the winner.
It is believed that both individuals could be banned from the Blues' remaining three matches in the Premier League, according to The Telegraph.
Meanwhile, Mourinho is likely to escape FA punishment, despite sarcastically congratulating Dean and referees' boss Mike Riley.
