Roberto Di Matteo insists that he is focused on Chelsea's upcoming fixtures as opposed to speculation over his future as permanent Blues boss.

Roberto Di Matteo has revealed that he has not begun talks with Chelsea over the permanent managerial role at the club.

The 41-year-old is in contention to be named the full-time successor to Andre Villas-Boas after a successful stint as caretaker boss, who has led the Blues to the FA Cup final and a potential spot in the Champions League final.

"I don't think it's important right now to speak about anything like that," said Di Matteo. "Our focus is on playing these games. We don't have time to think about anything else.

"At the moment, that's not the focus of anybody because it's not important. We've got more important aspects to think about."

Chelsea have recorded 10 victories in Di Matteo's 13 games in charge.
