Rio Ferdinand: 'Diego Costa a petulant baby'

Rio Ferdinand says that Diego Costa is a "petulant baby" for his involvement in Gabriel Paulista's sending-off.

Former England defender Rio Ferdinand has branded Chelsea striker Diego Costa a "petulant baby".

The Brazilian was involved in the incident that saw Gabriel Paulista sent off during Chelsea's 2-0 victory over the Gunners.

"Costa acts like a petulant baby," Ferdinand told BT Sport.

"If anything happens it's like the end of the world.

"He's a liability, a ticking time bomb. He's a fantastic player but he has to get back to playing football."

Costa has scored two goals for Chelsea so far this season.
