FIFPro midfield nominees revealed

FIFA reveal the 15 midfielders that are in contention for a place in the FIFA/FIFPro World XI 2012.

Five Premier League midfielders are on the 15-man shortlist to be included in the FIFA/FIFPro World XI 2012.

Chelsea duo Frank Lampard and Eden Hazard have been included, as are Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard and Manchester City's Ivory Coast international Yaya Toure. His teammate David Silva has also been named.

A large majority of the rest of the nominees play for either Barcelona or Real Madrid.
