Jupp Heynckes blasts Roman Abramovich

Jupp Heynckes says that he could not work for Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich.

Bayern Munich boss Jupp Heynckes has said that he could never work for an owner like Roman Abramovich.

The 67-year-old, who has previously managed at Real Madrid, said that he could not tolerate an owner who interferes with the manager's business.

Despite having some big characters in the Bayern boardroom, such as Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Uli Hoeness and Franz Beckeenbauer, Heynckes said that final decisions on team affairs rest with him.

"I could not possibly work for an owner or chairman who tried to interfere with team affairs," the Daily Mail quotes Heynckes as saying. "I would not tolerate that. The guys I work for are football people, but it is more about us really getting on as friends.

"We can have conversations where we don't all agree. We may enter the room with three different opinions, but we leave it with one - mine!

"I would like to think we do reach a common view, but I cannot imagine, under any circumstances, working for someone who tries to tell me how to manage or coach the team. Impossible! So, would I ever work for Chelsea? At my age, I don't think so!"

Haynckes is currently in his third stint in charge of the Bavarian outfit.
