Jose Mourinho: 'Chelsea took full advantage of Queens Park Rangers mistake'

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho praises his players for taking advantage of a Queens Park Rangers mistake to score late on in Sunday's 1-0 win.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has praised his side for taking full advantage of a Queens Park Rangers mistake after the Blues beat their local rivals 1-0 on Sunday.

Robert Green's sliced clearance could only find Eden Hazard late on, and the Belgium winger laid on teammate Cesc Fabregas to send Mourinho's men seven points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The Portuguese told BBC Sport: "When a team is so good defensively, you have to capitalise when they make a mistake and we did. They were very well organised and I thought maybe they would come with a different approach because they need points.

"However, they were very well organised and very solid defensively and it was very difficult for us. We need 11 points but at the moment, we are in the countdown.

"We could have even taken just a point today, but opposite to us, our opponents need to win every match."

Chelsea next host Manchester United next weekend.
