Gary Neville says that the FA should "make a bold decision" and replace Fabio Capello before Euro 2012.

Former Manchester United and England defender Gary Neville has suggested that the Football Association should sack manager Fabio Capello.

The 65-year-old publicly criticised the decision to strip John Terry of the captain's armband on Italian state television.

The Chelsea defender was relieved of his duties for his alleged racial abuse of QPR's Anton Ferdinand.

Speaking in his role as a pundit for Sky Sports, Neville said there is too much negativity that currently surrounds the England camp.

"I just wonder at the moment, this situation isn't going to go away for the next six months," said the 36-year-old.

"This division, this sense of negativity that surrounds the England team, I just think it might be time to make the bold decision and make a big change.

"If what's happened in the last couple of days had of happened in any other organisation, the manager would have to go."

Terry, 31, denies the charge of racial abuse and is due to appear in court on July 9.
