Andre Villas-Boas distances himself from Jose Mourinho’s approach and brands himself “the Group One.

Andre Villas-Boas stressed the importance of teamwork during his first press conference as Chelsea manager.

While Jose Mourinho branded himself “the Special One” upon his arrival at Stamford Bridge in 2004, the 33-year-old demonstrated a different approach.

“I will wait for you guys to give me [a title] when I am successful,” he said. “I hope I am and you can give me a good title.

“This is not a one-man show, this is about creating empathy, ambition and motivation in everybody. Maybe I should be called “the Group One” as I want to group people together and be successful.”

The former Porto boss also unveiled Blues alumnus Roberto Di Matteo as his assistant manager today.
