Willian: 'Chelsea focused on Tottenham Hotspur clash'

Chelsea midfielder Willian says that the club are keen to reproduce their form of last season when they host Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea midfielder Willian has said that his side will have to produce a performance similar to how they played last season if they are to beat Tottenham Hotspur on Monday night.

The Blues currently sit in 10th position in the Premier League table after a disappointing campaign, but they can ensure that Spurs cannot win the league title by claiming a positive result at Stamford Bridge.

Several Chelsea players have previously spoken about their wish for Leicester City to finish top of the standings, but Willian has insisted that he and his teammates are motivated to defeat their London rivals because of their own ambitions.

The 27-year-old told Sky Sports News: "Of course, the fans of Chelsea don't want them to win the title. They have a great team, play great football and have a great manager and we have to go into the game and stay focused all of the time. We have to stay compact and play like Chelsea did last season.

"We feel like we always have to win when we play at home and this game is special for us. We have to win for Chelsea, not because Spurs fight to win the league but because we want to win this game."

Chelsea will move into ninth place if they can avoid defeat on Monday evening.
