Chelsea youngsters crowned European champions

Chelsea Under-19s win the UEFA Youth League after beating Shakhtar Donetsk 3-2.

Chelsea Under-19s have been crowned European champions after beating Shakhtar Donetsk 2-1 in the UEFA Youth League final.

Two goals from Izzy Brown and another from the competition's top scorer Dominic Solanke sealed the victory for Chelsea in Switzerland.

The two sides went in level at half time, after goals from Brown and Shakhtar's Deny Arendaruk, but Solanke struck shortly after the restart and Brown added another. Viktor Kovalenko pulled a goal back in stoppage time.

Brown was named on the bench in Chelsea's 1-0 victory over Queens Park Rangers, and has represented England at Under-16, Under-17 and Under-19 level.

Solanke scored 12 goals in nine appearances in the UEFA Youth League this season.
