Alex Teixeira: 'Chelsea want to sign me'

Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Alex Teixeira has claimed that Chelsea have made a move to secure his signature in January.

The 25-year-old, who joined the Ukrainian side in 2009, hopes that a transfer to the Premier League champions can be completed as soon as possible.

The Brazilian told reporters in Ukraine: "I have an offer, it was a pleasure to know that Chelsea wants to sign me.

"It would be great if the transfer already happens in January."

Teixeira has scored 18 goals in 12 league appearances so far this season.
