Chelsea have reportedly submitted a £15m bid for Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, with the Blues keen to strengthen in the final third.

Chelsea have reportedly submitted a £15m offer for Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

The Blues are looking to strengthen in their final third before the transfer window closes, and they have identified Aubameyang as a potential target.

Barcelona are believed to be open to selling the forward as they look to reduce their wage bill, while Aubayemang is reportedly open to a move to Stamford Bridge after falling down the pecking order following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski at Camp Nou.

According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have made an offer of £15m for the Gabon international, although Barcelona are said to be asking for a fee in the region of £21m.

Although the two clubs still need to agree on a fee, Chelsea are confident that a deal can be completed following positive talks over the last 48 hours.

Thomas Tuchel is keen to reunite with a player that he once managed at Borussia Dortmund, and the signing of Aubameyang would add to his striking options following the departures of Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner this summer.
