Manchester City are ready to table a £17m bid for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben, according to a report.

Manchester City have reportedly lodged a bid for Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben as competition grows for the Dutchman's signature.

Robben has regularly been left on the substitutes' bench at Bayern this season and is waiting to see if he figures in new coach Pep Guardiola's plans for the Bundesliga champions.

According to Spanish publication Sport, City are ready to offer £17m for the 29-year-old former Chelsea forward, with Galatasaray and Juventus also interested in a summer deal.

Bayern have already signed playmaker Mario Gotze for next season and with Franck Ribery close to a new contract, Robben's long-term future at the Allianz Arena remains open to speculation.

The Netherlands international scored seven goals in all competitions for Bayern this season, including strikes in both legs of their Champions League semi-final success over Barcelona.
