Arjen Robben says that Bayern Munich's thrashing of Barcelona was down to a good team ethic.

Bayern Munich winger Arjen Robben has pinpointed his side's impressive team ethic as the reason for their domination of Barcelona in the Champions League.

The Dutchman was among the scorers as the Germans raced to a 3-0 win over the La Liga leaders at the Camp Nou on Wednesday night, which resulted in them progressing to the final of the competition with a 7-0 aggregate victory.

The 29-year-old believes that Bayern's work-rate and tactics proved too much for Barca to handle during the tie.

"The most important thing of all is we play as a team. Defensively we are very well organised, everyone is doing their job, also the four players up front work hard backwards," Robben told Sky Sports News.

"If you want to achieve something, if you want to win competitions and games at such a high level you have to defend as a team.

"If you perform like this, playing against a team who have dominated Europe over the last five years, if you win 4-0 and 3-0 away, it is amazing. Especially against a team like Barcelona you cannot give them any space to play. They didn't really have any good chances."

Bayern will now face Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund in the final at Wembley on May 25.
