Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies addresses speculation linking him with a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.

Bayern Munich defender Alphonso Davies has admitted that he is "very comfortable" at the German club amid interest from Real Madrid.

The 23-year-old has made 179 competitive appearances since joining the Bavarians from Vancouver Whitecaps in January 2019.

While he may have spent the last five years at the Allianz Arena, it is currently unclear whether his long-term future lies in Munich.

The Canadian's contract has entered the final 18 months of his current contract, which will expire at the end of the 2024-25 season.

With Davies yet to agree a new deal with the club, there has been speculation linking him with a move to Real Madrid in the summer.

While Real can call upon the likes of Ferland Mendy and Fran Garcia, they are seemingly keen to bring a new first-choice left-back.

Although Davies appears to be on Real Madrid's radar, the full-back has insisted that he is currently happy at Bayern.

"I feel very comfortable here," Davies told Kicker: "I play in an incredible team at one of the absolute top clubs in Europe. I stay focused and give everything for the team and our fans."

Davies, who has also been linked with Manchester City and Chelsea, has seen his performances come under scrutiny at times this season, but the Canada international still believes in his ability and feels that he has evolved as a player.

"In 2020, nobody really had me on their list," the defender added. "I was a relatively unknown quantity and I delivered. After that, the expectations of me were of course greater.

"I think that on the whole, I did justice to this, but of course not always, not in every game. There are very few players who really always manage to do that throughout their careers.

"My style of play has changed a little since then. A little less tricks, a little less dribbling, a little less risk.

"But I understand other things better today than I did four years ago. Of course, I have more experience today. But I'm still young and I want to continue learning and improving."

Davies has made a total of 26 competitive appearances this term, and he opened his account for the season in Saturday's 3-2 win over Augsburg, which moved Bayern to within two points of leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
