Everton's hopes of signing Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku have been boosted, with suggestions from the player's agent that he is happy to stay in the Premier League.
The 21-year-old had been linked with a move to Juventus, Wolfsburg and Atletico Madrid, but Oscar Damiani Jr has quoted an assistant of his representative, Christophe Henrotay, hinting that those teams may miss out on the Belgium international.
Damiani told reporters in Italy: "For the Italian teams there is little chance [of signing Lukaku]. Chelsea will sell him outright. Juve were informed but, again, at present there is no chance for homegrown [Italian] clubs.
"It is really a shame not to sign him, because he is a great player. Will he stay in the Premier League? I believe so."
Lukaku scored 15 times in the Premier League, while on loan at Everton last season.
