Filipe Luis has no Chelsea regrets

Brazilian full-back Filipe Luis calls his time with Chelsea "a very valuable experience" and believes that he has returned to Atletico Madrid "a better player".

Filipe Luis has insisted that he does not regret making the move to Chelsea last summer, claiming that it was "a nice experience" to play in England.

Luis sealed a return to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday, just 12 months after leaving the Vicente Calderon for the Premier League side.

The Brazilian also believes that he has returned to Spain "a better player" after sampling football in a new country.

"I'm very happy to be here again after a year. It was a nice experience at Chelsea and I won the Premier League," he told reporters.

"I don't regret going to Chelsea. Just the opposite. I learned many things and even though I didn't have that many minutes, it was still important.

"I won La Liga and the Premier League in consecutive years. I think I'm a better player now. It was a very valuable experience and I'm proud of last season."

Luis has signed a four-year deal with Atletico.
