Charly Musonda "very happy" to renew Real Betis loan

Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda reveals his delight after extending his loan deal with Real Betis for another season.

Chelsea youngster Charly Musonda has revealed his delight after extending his loan deal with Real Betis.

The 19-year-old has been with Chelsea since 2012, but has not yet made a first-team appearance for the Blues and spent the second half of last season on loan at Betis.

That agreement has now been extended for another season and the Belgium Under-21 international has said that he is "very happy" to continue his development in La Liga.

"I'm very happy. It's good for my progression to play here and learn. Playing in a La Liga team is very good and Betis is perfect for this. I want to continue maturing and have continuity and learn a lot," AS quotes Musonda as saying. "The new project is very interesting. Last season we met our goal. We want to do better next season and surpass 10th."

Musonda scored once in 14 league appearances for Betis in the second half of last season.
