Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah is reportedly considering pushing for an exit in January in search of more regular first-team football.

Trevoh Chalobah is reportedly considering leaving Chelsea in search of regular first-team football in January.

The 23-year-old enjoyed a breakthrough campaign at Stamford Bridge last season, making 30 appearances across all competitions as Chelsea reached two domestic cup finals.

However, he has been limited to just one outing so far in 2022-23, despite the Blues losing Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen on free transfers over the summer.

Chalobah has found himself behind Thiago Silva, Cesar Azpilicueta and new signings Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana so far this term, and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that he is considering a move away as a result.

Romano claims that RB Leipzig, Inter Milan and AC Milan were all interested in the defender during the summer, while former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has also been credited with an interest in bringing him to Roma.

According to the Birmingham Mail, Chelsea's Premier League rivals Aston Villa, Tottenham Hotspur, Leeds United, Nottingham Forest and Everton are also interested in the defender.

However, it remains to be seen whether new Chelsea boss Graham Potter would sanction a loan or permanent exit for the England Under-21 international midway through the season.
