Chesterfield manager Paul Cook has signed a new one-year contract with the club until 2017.
The 47-year-old, who joined the Spireites in 2012, guided the team to the League Two title last season.
Chesterfield are currently in fifth place in the League One standings.
"Along with the rest of the coaching staff, I was brought in to do a job and in football it's always a difficult job in an ever-changing world," he told the club's official website. "I've been here now for two years and four months and I think I'm in the top 20 longest-serving managers, which is quite amazing."
Chesterfield continue their bid for promotion on Saturday when they make the trip to Notts County.
