Chesterfield physio Jamie Hewitt reveals that forward Marc Richards will have an X-ray on his ankle injury tomorrow.

Chesterfield physio Jamie Hewitt has revealed that forward Marc Richards will have an X-ray on his ankle injury tomorrow.

The 30-year-old left the field on a stretcher during the 4-3 win over Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night.

"We're working to reduce the swelling and after the X-ray we'll know whether there's any bone damage or if it's a soft tissue problem," Hewitt told the club's official website.

"When we know what the problem is we'll then be able to evaluate the extent of the damage."

Richards scored his first goal in nine matches during the game at the Proact Stadium.
