Chicago Fire defeat Colorado Rapids 2-1 at Toyota Park thanks to goals from Mike Magee and Austin Berry.

Chicago Fire have come back from a goal down to beat Colorado Rapids 2-1 at Toyota Park.

The result means that Oscar Pareja's men have missed the chance to leapfrog Los Angeles Galaxy into fifth place in the Western Conference before they take on Portland Timbers.

Deshorn Brown put the visitors ahead in the 14th minute, but Mike Magee equalised from the spot after Marvell Wynne handled inside the area.

The teams headed into the break level but the turnaround was complete within two minutes of the restart, with Austin Berry finding the net.

Frank Klopas's men held out for victory to cut the gap on seventh-placed Columbus Crew to five points in the Eastern Conference with a game in hand.
