Torino frustrate Chievo

Chievo fail to convert a host of opportunities as they are held to a 0-0 home draw by Torino.

Chievo remain 16th in the Serie A standings following their failure to convert a number of chances during their home clash with Torino this afternoon.

Both sides found goalscoring opportunities hard to come by during the opening 45 minutes, but the two that were created went the way of the home side.

Bostjan Cesar headed the first over from close range, then frontman Alberto Paloschi saw his powerful effort held by visiting goalkeeper Daniele Padelli.

Chievo continued to carve out openings after the restart, with Paloschi in particular proving a menace to the Torino backline.

However, when the former AC Milan frontman found himself with enough space to shoot on two occasions, he failed to hit the target.

As a result, the visitors were able to hold out for a draw that has kept them one point better off than their hosts.
