Eugenio Corini has been sacked as the head coach of Chievo following their poor start to the season.
The board at the Stadio Marc'Antonio Bentegodi have made the decision in the wake of yesterday's 3-0 defeat to Roma, which extended the team's winless run to five matches.
A statement on the Serie A club's official website read: "The club wholeheartedly thanks the coach for his hard work, professionalism and unwavering dedication and wishes him all the best for his future career."
Corini, who was appointed to the position last November, has left the Flying Donkeys second from bottom in the Serie A table.
