Columbus Crew beat Chicago Fire 2-1 at the Columbus Crew Stadium.

Columbus Crew have drawn level on points with Chicago Fire after beating them 2-1 at home.

Eddie Gaven gave the hosts the lead after nine minutes with a low right-footed shot from outside the box.

Gaven then turned provider for Emilio Renteria to double Columus' advantage minutes before half time.

Chicago grabbed a consolation goal from the head of Austin Berry, who rose highest to meet Dan Paladini's 72nd-minute corner.
