Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish accuses Wigan boss Roberto Martinez of trying to "unsettle" winger Wilfried Zaha.

Crystal Palace chairman Steve Parish has accused Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez of trying to "unsettle" Wilfried Zaha.

Martinez claimed earlier this week that the 19-year-old winger had "massive potential" after the Latics reportedly failed with a £3m bid for the player.

The latest transfer situation involving the two clubs has further angered Parish after Palace were forced to sell Victor Moses to Wigan two years ago.

"Some fascinating quotes from a manager about our player," Parish tweeted.

"So having nicked Victor due to administration and then selling for £9m (where I don't recall them being worried about Chelsea getting value for money), Roberto would like it ever so much if we would roll over.

"In the meantime I guess he'll just try to unsettle our player using the papers.

"We didn't reveal any details of their bid we prefer to do these things privately and politely, different rules I guess for 'big' clubs."

Zaha signed his first professional contract with the Eagles in 2009 following a spell in the club's youth academy.
