Crystal Palace manager Neil Warnock has said that he wants to see consistency in the decisions made by Premier League referees.

The Eagles could have been awarded two penalties during their 3-1 defeat to Sunderland at Selhurst Park on Monday evening, with Fraizer Campbell and Wilfried Zaha appearing to have been brought down by visiting players in the penalty area.

Warnock confirmed that he did speak to referee Phil Dowd after the match.

"We have got to regroup and play ourselves through it. At the moment we feel everything is against us. Football is cruel. I will let you guys describe it - I just want to talk about us. We were fantastic really," Warnock told the Evening Express.

"It was 35 seconds - they could have been down to 10 men. Those decisions change games. All we want is consistency and we want top-class refs to get top-class decisions right and it isn't happening for us.

"I have spoken to him. I don't want to tell you what he has said. I didn't need to say anything - everyone saw the incident I was talking about with him. I'm just deflated at the moment, as you can see. I just want to talk about my team."

Palace sit 17th in the table, outside the relegation zone on goal difference.
