Emmanuel Adebayor confirms Crystal Palace departure

Crystal Palace striker Emmanuel Adebayor says that he will leave the club following the conclusion of Saturday's FA Cup final.

Emmanuel Adebayor has revealed that he will leave Crystal Palace after this weekend's FA Cup final.

The Togo frontman signed a six-month contract at Selhurst Park back in January.

However, having scored once from 15 appearances since then, the 32-year-old has confirmed that he will be on the move again following the conclusion of the Wembley date with Manchester United.

"I've had six beautiful months with Palace. I'd love to have played more, but that's football," he told the South London Press.

"The journey will stop in May, but that's not the end of my journey. It is just a stop. It will continue, wherever I go to.

"I will always wish this club well. It doesn't matter if I start the Manchester United game on the bench or the gaffer decides to put me in the stands. At the end of the day we want to win it. This club wants to win it."

Despite playing for Arsenal, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur, Adebayor has never won the FA Cup.
