Sunday's FA Cup predictions including Ipswich vs. Buxton

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's FA Cup fixtures, including Ipswich vs. Buxton.

Ebbsfleet vs. Fleetwood (Sunday, 12.30pm)

National League South side Ebbsfleet will be aiming to cause a major upset against Fleetwood Town in the second round of the FA Cup on Sunday.

Ebbsfleet beat Halifax Town in the previous round to reach this stage, while Fleetwood dispatched Oxford City.

We say: Ebbsfleet 1-1 Fleetwood Town

Given Ebbsleet's impressive league form so far this season, we can envisage them giving Fleetwood a real run for their money on Sunday.

As such, despite there being three divisions between these sides, we think the visitors may have to bring their opponents back to Highbury Stadium for a replay.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.

Bristol Rovers vs. Boreham Wood (Sunday, 2.00pm)

Bristol Rovers have a golden opportunity to progress to the third round of the FA Cup on Sunday, taking on National League side Boreham Wood at the Memorial Stadium.

It is the maiden meeting between the two sides, with Bristol Rovers currently playing two divisions higher than their opponents in League One.

We say: Bristol Rovers 3-0 Boreham Wood

Not only do two leagues separate Sunday's opponents, but Boreham Wood come into the game in very poor form. As such, Bristol Rovers should progress to the next round in comfortable fashion.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Burton Albion vs. Chippenham (Sunday, 2.00pm)

A place in the third round of the FA Cup is at stake when Burton Albion host Chippenham Town at the Pirelli Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

The Brewers are embroiled in a relegation battle in League One and will be looking for a pleasant distraction when they face off against the National League South side this weekend.

We say: Burton Albion 1-0 Chippenham Town

Sunday sees League One's worst defence host National League South's worst attack in what promises to be a nervy match for both sets of supporters.

Chippenham Town have already shown they can defeat third-tier opposition in the FA Cup this season but the Pirelli Stadium is likely to be where their cup adventure ends.

Our tipster partners are predicting a home win.

Newport vs. Derby (Sunday, 3.15pm)

Derby County of League One will travel across the Severn Bridge to face League Two's Newport County on the Welsh coast in the FA Cup second round on Saturday.

The Rams come up against a Newport side that have a strong reputation of making the third round of the Cup - having succeeded in doing so on their last five occasions - and the Derbyshire club may well have their work cut out at Rodney Parade.

We say: Newport County 2-1 Derby County

Newport may not have been on the finest form this season, signalled by the change in management and their precarity at the bottom end of League Two. Derby have the better players on paper, with many of their first-teamers having been Championship players up to very recently.

However, the Exiles' history in the FA Cup could well drive the team to victory at Rodney Parade. With the help of the experienced Dolan, Willmott and Day in particular, an upset is definitely on the cards this Sunday.

Our tipster partners are predicting an away win.

Ipswich vs. Buxton (Sunday, 5.00pm)

With 88 places separating the sides in the English football pyramid, Ipswich Town and Buxton will do battle in the second round of the FA Cup at Portman Road on Sunday.

As the second-placed team in League One, the hosts are the highest ranked side currently in the competition, before the entry of Premier League and Championship opposition in the third round, while the visitors play their league football in England's sixth tier.

We say: Ipswich Town 3-0 Buxton

Ipswich Town will likely rotate their squad for Sunday's contest, but they should still have more than enough to cruise past their visitors and advance to the third round.

Buxton will arrive looking to cause an upset, but McKenna's men will likely contain the National League North side and force plenty of chances.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 2.5 goals.
