Sam Allardyce faces Football Association probe after media sting

England manager Sam Allardyce will be investigated by the FA after an undercover sting by The Telegraph.

England manager Sam Allardyce will be investigated by the Football Association after being caught out by undercover reporters working for The Telegraph.

In secret recordings made by the newspaper, Allardyce is heard speaking candidly about a range of issues to the pair of reporters, who are claiming to be businessmen working for a Far East investment firm.

Allardyce is seen claiming that he can offer advice on how to "get around" FA transfer rules on third-party ownership of players, claiming that it is "not a problem" to circumvent the rules.

The 61-year-old also mocked his predecessor Roy Hodgson, referring to him as "Woy" and claiming that he "hasn't got the personality" to speak publicly.

The FA's decision to rebuild Wembley at a cost of £870m was branded 'stupid', while he said that his new employers are "all about making money".

Neither Allardyce or the FA has yet commented officially on the allegations.
