Jermain Defoe is reportedly worried that he will be overlooked by England due to his lack of regular game time at Bournemouth.

Jermain Defoe is reportedly concerned that he will miss out on a spot in the England squad for the World Cup due to his lack of game time at Bournemouth.

The 35-year-old moved to the Vitality Stadium in the summer following Sunderland's relegation to the Championship.

So far, manager Eddie Howe has started Defoe in just six Premier League games and is yet to give him a full 90 minutes in the top flight.

According to The Mirror, the striker feels that he will be overlooked by England boss Gareth Southgate for next month's friendlies with Germany and Brazil.

Defoe has made no secret of the fact that he wants to be back in the Three Lions fold.
