West Bromwich Albion midfielder James Morrison is confident that Roy Hodgson will be a success as manager of England.
The 64-year-old was confirmed as Fabio Capello's permanent replacement last week.
Hodgson's appointment has been widely criticised by some sections of the media, but Morrison thinks that such condemnation is unjust.
"Hopefully he can do the job he has done for us with England," said the Scotland international.
"He has passed over his knowledge to me and I like to think I have got over my long lay-off.
"You can't argue with the job he's done and we wish him all the best."
Hodgson takes charge of the Baggies for the final time on Sunday, as Arsenal visit The Hawthorns.
