Manchester United pair Danny Welbeck and Michael Carrick have withdrawn their services from the England squad.
Striker Welbeck has been out of action since the middle of October because of a knee injury, while midfielder Carrick has struggled of late with a calf complaint, despite having featured against Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
As a result, neither will now represent the Three Lions in the home friendly matches against Chile on Friday evening and Germany on the following Tuesday.
The Football Association have also confirmed that no replacements have been called up for the duo.
