Jonathan Joseph: 'England showed great spirit to come back'

England centre Jonathan Joseph praises his side's "great spirit" in coming back from 5-0 down against Italy to triumph 47-17 in the Six Nations.

England centre Jonathan Joseph has praised their "great spirit" in coming back to win against Italy in Saturday afternoon's Six Nations clash at Twickenham.

The Azzurri drew first blood in the game when Luca Morisi teed up captain Sergio Parisse, who crashed over to put his side ahead.

However, Stuart Lancaster's side stormed back by scoring six tries and ultimately triumphed by a score of 47-17.

Man-of-the-match Joseph told BBC Sport after the game: "It's great to get the win today. The boys showed great spirit to come back and get the win.

"Defensively, we weren't disciplined enough and we allowed them to get on top of us. We sorted that out and were better in the second half."

England face a potential title decider when they face the much-fancied Ireland in Dublin in a fortnight.
