Dele Alli has insisted that England will be "disappointed" if they do not win the 2018 World Cup.

The Three Lions are seen as outsiders to land the crown in Russia, with the likes of Spain, Germany and Brazil regarded as among the favourites to triumph at the 2018 competition.

Alli, however, has claimed that England 'are going there to win it', and the Tottenham Hotspur attacker would even be disappointed if they were losing finalists.

"We're going there to win it. We don't expect anything less and we'll be disappointed if we finish second," Alli told reporters.

"I feel like we have to have that mentality. We don't want to go there and just be a part of it. We know how good we are as a squad, we know the talent. If we get the best out of each other then anything is possible."

England's final warm-up match for this summer's competition is against Costa Rica on Thursday night, before opening their tournament against Tunisia on June 18.
