A thigh injury has ruled Daniel Sturridge out of England's World Cup qualifier against Ukraine in Kiev on Tuesday.

The Liverpool striker was forced to pull out of Roy Hodgson's squad ahead of Friday's 4-0 win over Moldova.

"The FA can confirm that Daniel Sturridge will not return to the England squad ahead of the World Cup qualifier with Ukraine on Tuesday," read an official statement from the FA.

No players will be added to the squad for the match in Kiev.
